One point of interest regarding extending this to multiple filters (e.g. having saturation adjustable as well as gamma):

For each additional filter you need to add another dimension to the matrix of served images. So to add saturation you would need to extend the current 3-image line into a 9-image square. 9 images is probably too many already, so you might consider leaving out the center points (cutting the number of images needed by approx 50%). But if you do, testing has shown that the result of mixing all the images together (which is needed in order to show the 'unadjusted' version) is a noticeably muddy rendering.
